ISU Planetarium

The ISU Planetarium was established on September 1, 1964 and strives to provide a popular form of enriching entertainment, contribute to University-Community relations, and introduce new Physics students to working in and operating a Planetarium. The Planetarium offers both live and taped shows, and educational services including school and community group presentations, teacher workshops, adult education classes, and the Travelling Telescope Program. Presentations are also available in six foreign languages, and effects such as clusters, binary stars and eclipses are also available.

The Planetarium is easily accessible, located right on campus--it is the white-domed building at the east end of Felmley Hall of Science, on the corner of College Avenue and School Street. The entertainment provided by the Planetarium is a great value--admission for children, seniors, and University faculty, staff, and students is only $3 and for adults is $4! Call the Planetarium Hotline at (309) 438-5007 for up-to-date information about ISU Planetarium offerings.
